McKenzie Meadows Golf Course Policies
Tee Time Reservations
- All players are encouraged to make tee times in advance. Without a reservation, availability of play is not guaranteed.
- Members may book tee times up to 7 days in advance.
- General public may book tee times up to 5 days in advance.
- Groups of 20 or more players must contact the Pro Shop at least 30 days in advance to reserve a block of tee times.
Registration & Starting Play
- All players must register at the Pro Shop prior to beginning their round.
- All play must begin on hole #1 unless otherwise booked and registered to start on another hole (e.g., #10).
- No one may begin play from the middle of the course without authorization.
Player Requirements
- All players must have their own set of golf clubs and golf bag.
- Rental equipment is available at the Pro Shop.
- All players must be at least 12 years of age to play alone.
- Golfers aged 5 to 11 must be accompanied by a paid playing adult.
- Golfers under 5 years old require approval from the Pro Shop and must be accompanied by a golfing adult.
- Only paying customers are allowed on the golf course.
- No walkers or non-golfing riders may accompany players.
Dress Code
- All golfers are expected to wear appropriate golf attire.
- Men: No denim, track pants, or beachwear. Shorts must be tailored. Shirts must have a collar, mock neck, or turtle neck.
- Ladies: No denim, track pants, or beachwear. Shorts must have a minimum 6-inch inseam (no short shorts). No t-shirts, tube tops, or tank tops.
Pace of Play
- Players must maintain the pace of play expected for the day
- Please keep pace with the group ahead and be prepared to play when it's your turn.
- Our staff will monitor play and may take necessary actions to address slow play:
- providing reminders,
- requesting groups to allow faster players to play through,
- or, if needed, directing groups to skip holes to regain proper pace."
- Expected pace of play for 18 holes:
- Under 3 hours and 55 minutes during the first 90–120 minutes of the day.
- (approx. 4 hrs to 4 hrs. 15 min.)
Golf Cart & Equipment Policies
- Only individuals with a valid driver’s license and a minimum age of 18 may operate rented golf carts.
- A personal credit card must be presented at the time of rental and will be retained until the cart is returned in satisfactory condition.
- Cart damage is the sole responsibility of the renter.
- Maximum of two (2) people per cart.
- Golf carts, pull carts, and golf bags must stay off tee boxes and remain at least 30 feet from greens.
- Range balls may not be used on the golf course under any circumstances.
Alcohol Policy
- In accordance with Alberta Liquor Laws, no outside alcoholic beverages are allowed on the golf course.
- Violations will result in confiscation of beverages and potential removal from the premises.
- If you are intoxicated, you may be asked to leave the course and no refund will be provided.
Course Etiquette & Care
- Players are expected to:
- Rake bunkers after use.
- Repair ball marks on greens.
- Replace divots.
- Show respect to the course conditions, course property, and private property surrounding the course.
- Follow all standard golf etiquette.
Rain Check Policy
- Rain checks are valid for the current season only.
- Exception: Rain checks issued after September 1st will be valid for the next golf season only.
- No other exceptions will be made.
