There are a variety of seasonal positions available in the 2008 season. Here is a brief description of jobs available for the
2008 Golf
Season.
Golf Services
Outside customer service consists of greeting our guests,
helping them in any manner possible. Knowledgeable of the days events, our
facility and providing direction to our patrons.
Pro Shop Attendant
- Pro Shop
offering exceptional customer service to our guests with
regards to sale of merchandise, phone calls and checking in our guets for
their tee time, power carts, pull cart and/or club rentals.
Golf Services Attendant
- Back Shop
offering exceptional customer service by supporting the
Pro Shop regarding power carts, pull cart and club rentals.
- Driving Range
We have two fully functional ranges (East and West
End) whereby the attendants will provide range balls for sale to patrons.
Ensuring that all areas of the range are clean and organized providing a first
class environment for our guests.
- Range Picker
responsible for ensuring that the range is picked
clean in a timely and safe manner. Keeping both ends of the range fully
stocked allowing the facility to run to its capacity.
Marshal and Starter
- Marshal On course customer service by helping our guests in any
manner possible and be knowledgeable of the daily events at our facility.
Providing direction to our guests. This is done while working in conjunction
with Pro Shop staff, overseeing the speed of play plus observing and enforcing
that our guests are following the procedures established by McKenzie Meadows.

Maintenance and Turf Management
ONE OF THE BEST THINGS ABOUT WORKING ON THE GROUNDS
MAINTENANCE CREW IS THE VARIETY OF WORK YOU WILL DO ON ANY GIVEN DAY.
Grounds Maintenance Personnel:
Fairway mower operator's
- This position requires a competent person to operate a large piece of
equipment for about 6 hours per day, 5 days a week.
- On site training is provided to ensure each operator is fully trained and
comfortable on the mower.
Greens mower operators
- These operators are extremely important in that our greens are what the
golfers critique the most.
- The mowing of the greens takes 3 hours leaving this operator available to
help with many other tasks on the course.
Tees/aprons mower operator's
- These operators must be conscientious, careful, and efficient in the mowing
of all tees, aprons and collars on a daily basis.
- Daily cleaning and refueling of the equipment is a necessity.
Primary rough mower operator's
- Our primary rough mower operators need to be efficient and courteous to the
golfing public.
- Complete and proper maintenance of the equipment is required and will be
clearly laid out as part of the training process.
Lastec Mower Operator
- The operator for this piece of equipment is a careful, meticulous, and
patient person who cares about the quality of work.
- The operator must be efficient and conscientious yet courteous to the
golfers.
Secondary rough mower operator's
- The secondary rough mower operators have one of the biggest tasks on the
course as they have the most area to mow compared to any other mower.
- These operators have a very important duty, in that golfers spend a lot of
time in the rough looking for balls, so it must be routinely mowed to help
golfers find their ball in a timely manner so they can continue on with their
game.
- These operators must be efficient and conscientious yet be courteous to the
golfers.
- The operator is responsible for the daily basic maintenance including,
cleaning, refueling and the monitoring of how the machine is operating.
Sand trap maintenance
- Our bunker maintenance personnel will be a highly motivated and efficient
group who takes pride in their work.
- Although this daily task can become monotonous, it is a very important part
of the overall presentation of the golf course.
Trimmer operator
- This member of the maintenance crew has the onerous task of keeping all the
smaller turf areas trimmed and mowed on an as needed basis.
Course setup personnel
- This position requires an organized individual with a good understanding of
the game of golf.
- He/she will be trained to set pins, set tee blocks, repairs ball marks, fill
divot boxes, and generally prepare the course for play on a daily basis.
- It requires someone who can multi-task yet be efficient while performing the
daily preparations.
Course services
- This position requires someone who pays attention to detail while performing
the assigned tasks.
Cleanliness is a key component for the person doing the tasks associated with
this position

Food and Beverage Services
This area of the operations is a part of the McKenzie Meadows
Bar and Grill. Positions available in this department consist of three different
areas such as: Servers, Cooks and Dishwasher/Prep Cooks.
- Servers
positions are available in our lounge, halfway house,
tournament center and beverage cart. Successful candidates must be 18 years of
age or older and have a positive outlook and an eagerness to learn. A
dedication to great service is a must. Experience is an asset but we are
willing to train people with the right attitude. All staff must obtain
accreditation from the CRHA in Sanitation.
We are looking for energetic and personable people to
continue our reputation for quality food at an affordable price. Our staff
possesses the skill to consistently produce food to the Clubs exact standards.
Strong line skills and the ability to work alone are requirements and the
confidence to give junior staff the benefit of experience.
- Dishwasher/Prep Cooks
This requires the employee to play a key
role in the cleaning and organization of the Kitchen Operation along with the
day to day food preparation and assisting with service when necessary.
Willingness to learn and a positive outlook are required for this position.
