Group Instruction

Recommended for beginner and intermediate players, our group instruction programs are designed to ensure maximum learning in a group environment. The curriculum is designed based on the students ability. This allows you to benefit in a learning environment which will better suit your present needs. Students are encouraged to participate in the appropriate level.

 

Level I - Beginner

Goal: To have the participant feel comfortable with the game so they can get started playing and practicing properly.

  • Overview of the game
  • Introduction to the rules, equipment, proper etiquette
  • Introduction to the five necessary swing techniques which will allow you to begin playing the game of golf

Level II - Intermediate

Goal: To have the participant improve the five swing techniques and thus lower their scores.

  • Review of the five swing techniques necessary to play the game.
  • Analysis of personal technique and detection of most prominent error.
  • Development of skills through specific drills.
  • Introduction Game analysis, the mental game, and practicing effectively.

Level III - Advanced (Level II is a pre-requisite)

Goal: To have the participant improve the five swing techniques and thus lower their scores.

  • Review of the five swing techniques necessary to play the game.
  • Analysis of personal technique and detection of most prominent error.
  • Game analysis and the mental game.
  • Specialty shots
  • Develop a practice plan.

 

IPP (Instruction, Practice, Play) System of Golf Improvement

Junior Junior Introduction to Golf

This is a 3 week program that will focus upon where to start and finish, and how to contact the ball. This level will focus on a simple repetitive motion to build and be able to repeat some new skills.

Junior Introduction to Golf

This is a 4 week program for kids who are relatively new to golf or for kids looking to refine and improve their basic fundamentals. One of the objectives in this level is to develop some control of the general distance and direction of the ball. There will be an introduction to pitching and green side bunker play. Players should be able to develop and demonstrate an athletic balanced form while getting the ball airborne half of the time.

Two-Day Camps

This is an 8 hour program for kids who are relatively new to golf or for kids looking to refine and improve their basic fundamentals. All areas of the game will be covered: Full Swing, Putting, Chipping, Pitching and Sand. Players should be able to develop and demonstrate an athletic balanced form while getting the ball airborne half of the time. This program also has some on course instruction included (Day 2).

Spring Swing Tune Up

The Program

This is a proven program, which is now in it's 20th season. The program is designed to help golfers of all skill levels through a series of swing drills and exercises.

Classes are conveniently located at McKenzie Meadows Golf Club. Evening, Weekends and Daytime slots are available, each program consists of 6 lessons with a maximum 10::1 Student Teacher ratio.

Content

Stretching:

Your muscles must be able to perform certain movements in order to make a good golf swing. These golf specific stretches will focus on these muscle groups and joints to help prevent injury while contributing to your improvement.

Fundamentals:

What are the basic fundamentals and how do I incorporate them into my swing? You will learn the facts about the swing motion and dispel the many misconceptions and preferences associated with mass of information, which is available to you today.

Perfect Practice:

A series of swing specific drills and exercises will be learned and performed by you each class. Our professional staff will ensure that you are improving your swing fundamentals.

Ball Striking:

Weather permitting, we may strike practice balls on the driving range. This helps the golfer to shift their focus out of practice mode.

Video Analysis:

Near the halfway point of the sessions we will analyze your motion. This tool can help you to understand the positive effects of the drills and also help to pin point your most vulnerable swing fault.
